CARVALHO NEARING INTER SWITCH
Ricardo Carvalho looks set to sign for Inter Milan according to reports. Carvalho, 32, has enjoyed a trophy-laden six year spell at Stamford Bridge but could now be set for the exit door. Manager Carlo Ancelotti is rumoured to want to pair John Terry with Alex in central defence next term and this has ignited the Champions League holders' interest in the Portuguese stalwart.
CARVALHO TO LEAVE CHELSEA
Chelsea defender Ricardo Carvalho is set to be put up for sale from Stamford Bridge, according to a report from The Independent, as manager Carlo Ancelotti looks to create space in his squad for reinforcements.
Carvalho joined the Blues from Porto for a reported £19.85m in 2004 and has made 210 appearances for the club, establishing a reputation for reliability.
He was voted Chelsea's player of the year in 2008 but has slipped down the pecking order a little as Alex and Branislav Ivanovic have come to the fore.
Carvalho Returns Soon
Chelsea’s defensive problems could ease a lot quicker than expected as it has been revealed today that Ricardo Carvalho could be returning to the squad in just a few weeks.
The experienced Portugese defender suffered ligament damage in Chelsea’s 5-0 demolition of Portsmouth last week, and it was thought that he would need an operation and be out for the rest of the season.
CARVALHO LAMENTS HOME FORM
Chelsea have swapped the Premier League top spot with Manchester United numerous times this season, and Blues defender Ricardo Carvalho puts that down to a wasteful approach from his side.
And while the Blues are still merciless at Stamford Bridge, away from home they have struggled to replicate that sort of form. Thought that hasn't stopped them being favourites on the sports betting online markets.
