Oscar confident on Transfer to China

Oscar does not believe that he has pushed himself backward by opting for a transfer from Europe to China.

The midfielder also does not have any fears over his international career as he is confident that he won’t have any problems in the pursuit of it if he has good numbers to his name in the Chinese top flight.

Shanghai PISG, which has managed to land Oscar, has actually managed to land his one-time Blues’ teammate Ricardo Carvalho as well who was also playing in Europe.
But, the case of Carvalho is completely different to that of Oscar. The former is 13-year older than the latter and his time in Europe was up anyway.

Maybe he had a season left in him for Monaco, but, he couldn’t have achieved too much on personal front even if he had stayed for that one more season.

On the contrary, Oscar had a whole lot to achieve personally in Europe. He needed to be there at the higher level to grow himself to the maximum as a Footballer, to explore his abilities to the fullest.

But, according to the Brazilian, the level of Chinese Football is also going up rapidly and with the addition of world class personnel every year, the time is not far away when it will be counted among one of the topmost soccer competitions across the globe.

Also, on the criticism for giving the cash more preference than his personal development, Oscar has a brutally honest response. He says if he didn’t care about cash, he would have remained in his country only and wouldn’t have travelled across the borders at all. The reason he’s been away from his home is the cash. So, that’s obviously an important thing, not only for him, but, for everybody.
